For the Sanctuary on 8th project, Plot Creative Studio facilitated an interactive discovery session with middle school students to ensure the mural truly reflected the people who would use the space every day. Designed for the students’ hangout room, the process centered their voices through a series of creative stations that allowed them to express what mattered most in multiple ways, through writing, drawing, conversation, and visual inspiration. The final mural transformed their ideas, personalities, and shared values into a vibrant, student-driven environment that fosters belonging, comfort, and connection.
